About Evolusion
Evolusion emerged from a serendipitous conversation between industry experts Cherie Buziak and Geri Sanowski.
Their conversations about the ever-changing landscape of the beauty industry transformed into a visionary project of creating a master class.
The idea gained momentum when Cherie and Geri became mentors for the Rutgers University MBS externship program, fortuitously aligning with their vision for Evolusion.
Evolusion is more than a masterclass; it's a movement - evolving visions into brand launches while fostering community and mentorship for the future leaders of the industry.

Our EVOLUSION JOURNEY
Evolusion was born, like most innovative ideas, out of an industry peer to peer conversation. Cherie Buziak of BeautyEdge and Geri Sanowski of Beauty Intelligence Project were “catching up” on zoom one day. As they delved into the intricacies of the beauty industry's updates, changes, and challenges, the conversation naturally meandered towards their collective backgrounds, vast connections, and an intriguing "what if" scenario.
The concept of Evolusion began taking shape - an online masterclass featuring esteemed guest speakers and a comprehensive module series tailored for individuals serious about launching a luxury brand or possessing the financial backing for a meticulously planned venture.
The universe seemed to conspire with this collaborative idea of Evolusion. As conversations continued between Cherie & Geri, Abbe Lynn Rosenthal, Professor & Executive Coach, MBS Externship Exchange Program at Rutgers University, posted an opportunity on LinkedIn seeking mentors for the MBS externship program. Cherie & Geri leaped at the opportunity. After a quick submission of the concept to the Rutgers board, serendipitously, they were selected to be mentors for one of the 35 externship cohorts.
Enter the extern team, tasked with birthing the not yet named online workshop - Evolusion. For these students, the project meant more than just earning credits towards their degree; it was about gaining practical experience with an established Company – learning what it takes to go from concept to launch, solving corporate challenges, and navigating the nuances of the business world.
Under the mentorship of Cherie and Geri, with supervision from Jay Goldring, Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, the extern team convened online for 30 to 45 minutes each week over a span of 10 weeks. Astonishingly, the team not only met but surpassed the expectations outlined in the development roadmap for Evolusion. In fact, they laid the very foundation for understanding how to successfully launch a brand.
As the semester concluded, the team showcased their accomplishments in a dynamic 4-minute lightning presentation, reminiscent of the format seen on Shark Tank. Their audience comprised of over 180 online observers from the beauty industry, and their presentation group had large corporate competitors like Colgate, PSE&G, and The Philadelphia Phillies.
To the surprise and delight of all, the team emerged victorious, earning accolades for the best PowerPoint slides. Additionally, one team member secured fellowship funds to be applied towards her MBS in recognition of her outstanding leadership skills during the course of the project.
In the hope of not only sharing over 50 years of combined industry and business development experience, Evolusion transcends conventional teaching; it's a community and mentorship development initiative.
Evolusion is more than a class; it's a movement - evolving visions into brand launches while fostering community and mentorship for the future leaders of the industry. Evolusion pledges to give back to the industry by allocating a financial percentage from every Essential Class - registered student to support the Rutgers MBS externship program.
